Sr. KG CONVOCATION CEREMONY

Kindergarten Graduation is an amazing milestone for Sr. KG students as they are marching towards tomorrow filled with dreams. It marks a new beginning that adds new dimensions to their school life and the journey they begin towards knowledge and education.
IES Orion Kindergarten celebrated the Convocation Ceremony on Thursday, 31st March 2022 at Pracharya B. N. Vaidya Auditorium. Dr. Gauri Ninad Rangnekar M.D.S (Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest for the event. Sr. KG students smartly marched in the auditorium wearing their shinning blue convocation robes. The programme was then followed by lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and a prayer dance performed by our talented Jr. KG students.
Introduction of the Chief Guest was done by our Kindergarten teacher Ms. Anjana Karandikar. Our Chief Guest was felicitated by the little Orionites of Jr. KG with a memento and a fruit basket. The Chief Guest complimented the graduates on their achievements and also congratulated the teachers for their dedication and hard work in shaping the students through education and other co-curricular activities.
Then came the most important part of the celebrations i.e., Sr. KG students walking on the dais for their Kindergarten Convocation. Their smiling faces were welcomed by rapturous applause from the audience as they received scrolls of merit. Each class representative, Sayuri Bodke for Sr. KG Golden Sun, Kshitij Naik for Sr. KG Silver Moon and Sia Shirodkar for Sr. KG Bright Star delivered the gratitude speech. All the Sr. KG graduates took an oath together for their bright future.
Everyone enjoyed watching Sr. KG student’s‘ Golden Memories of the Kindergarten Section’ through an audio-visual presentation. Our little wonders of Jr. KG bid a goodbye to the Sr. KG graduates through a lovely farewell song. Our Kindergarten teacher Ms. Angela Thakur proposed the vote of thanks. The programme ended with the melodious voice of Mr. Omkar Raut who sang the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’.
The programme mesmerized everyone who gathered for the event. It was a proud moment for the parents and the mentors as they witnessed their children surpassing their first stepping stone towards success.
May God bless our tiny ‘graduates’ as they continue their education in the main stream of the school!

ANNUAL FEAST

IES Orion Kindergarten organised Annual Feast on the last working day of the academic year 2021-22, Wednesday, 30th March 2022. Our little shinning stars of Orion thoroughly enjoyed watching a fun-filled Puppet Show on “Vacation Time”. Teachers also showed a short moral based movie to the tiny tots.
Students along with their teachers sang and danced to the beats of the party songs. Students were happy to receive a delicious takeaway snack box. Annual Feast was celebrated with great joy and it was truly a day filled with fun and frolic.

Holi Celebration

Holi is the festival of colours which is celebrated in India and the world with great zeal and enthusiasm. To make the students understand the importance of Holi, IES Orion (Dadar) School had a virtual celebration through a video which explained the importance of Holi.

HOLI CELEBRATION

The most colourful and vibrant festival of India – Holi was celebrated with great pomp and fervour at IES Orion Kindergarten on Thursday, 17th March 2022.
Holi is the festival which commemorates the victory of good over evil, brought about by the burning and destruction of the evil demon named Holika. So, the spirit of Holi taught the students to follow good conduct in life and believe in the virtue of being truthful and honest. The festival marks the end of winter and the abundance of the upcoming spring harvest season.
The importance of the festival was explained by the teachers through a PowerPoint Presentation. Teachers explained the reason of celebrating the festival ‘Holi’, how it should be celebrated and why it is celebrated by narrating a story based on Holika Dahan. Animated videos on Holi and how to make natural colours at home were shown in all the classes. Students were advised to use natural colours and to conserve water. A project on Holi was displayed and explained to the students by the teachers. Our little Kindergarteners welcomed the spring by dancing on Holi Celebration Songs.

Maha Shivratri Celebrations

Maha Shivaratri is known as the great night of Shiva. Maha Shivaratri is an auspicious day for Lord Shiva. On this day people celebrate by fasting, making sweets, offer fruits & milk to Lord Shiva. The sacred chant “Om Namaha Shivaya” is chanted throughout the day. The festival of Maha Shivratri, a famous Hindu festival celebrated each year in reverence of Lord Shiva.
To seek the blessings of Lord Shiva, Maha Shivratri was celebrated at IES Orion School on 2nd March, 2022 with full devotion and sanctity. To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty, the IES Orion School took the opportunity to both jubilate and learn with the young minds. Orion family celebrated this festival in school. The students and the teachers were filled with the spiritual fervor on the occasion.
A splendid colourful program was organized (short video presentation) by the children and staff of the school, where students presented importance and significance of this festival along with songs and shlokas. A mythological story on Lord Shiva was also presented by students – through play and narration.
The entire event was marked with enthralling performances and concluded the event by seeking the blessings from Lord Shiva the supreme god.
