The Kindergarten Convocation Ceremony at IES Orion Kindergarten was a heart-warming celebration that marked an important milestone in the academic journey of our Sr.KG students. Held on Saturday, 29th March 2025 at the Pracharya B. N. Vaidya Auditorium, the event reflected the growth, accomplishments, and readiness of our young learners as they prepare to step into formal schooling. The event was graced by Chief Guest Ms. Medha Kadlag, a highly qualified educator, mentor, and visionary leader in the field of education. As the Head of IES NEKG, Bandra (E), she brings immense knowledge and has played a key role in shaping the curriculum in alignment with the National Education Policy to support the school’s growth. The celebration began with a proud and graceful convocation march by the Sr.KG students, dressed in traditional graduation attire. Their radiant smiles and confident strides were met with thunderous applause from parents, teachers, and guests. The formal programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries, symbolizing wisdom and the pursuit of knowledge. This was followed by a welcome dance by the students of Jr.KG. Ms. Chandrika Kunder, a Kindergarten teacher, gave a warm introduction of the Chief Guest, who was then felicitated by a Jr.KG student with a memento and fruit basket. In her address, Ms. Kadlag praised the achievements of the young graduates, gave guidelines to the parents and commended the dedication and hard work of the teaching staff in nurturing the students’ overall development. The most anticipated moment of the event was the distribution of certificates, where each Sr.KG student proudly walked across the stage to receive their Certificate of Merit. The audience responded with heartfelt applause, celebrating the children's journey and growth. Representatives from each class— • Shatakshi Mungekar from Sr.KG Golden Sun, • Durva Koranne from Sr.KG Silver Moon, and • Ridhanya Kamat from Sr.KG Bright Star — delivered touching gratitude speeches, expressing thanks to Management, teachers, parents, and peers The graduates then came together to take a collective Graduation Oath, pledging to carry forward the values and lessons learned in kindergarten. With more fun and frolic a soulful song was sung and a spirited Mashup dance performed by the talented students of Jr.KG, setting the tone for a joyful and meaningful event. A nostalgic audio-visual presentation, ‘Golden Memories of the Kindergarten Section’, was screened, capturing the most memorable moments of the year. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Seema Subandh, acknowledging the efforts of everyone who contributed to making the ceremony a grand success. The programme ended on a patriotic note with the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’, sung by our Music teacher Mr. Mayuresh Madgavkar. The Convocation Ceremony was a beautiful blend of celebration, emotion, and pride. It was a proud moment for teachers and parents alike to witness their little ones take a confident step forward into a new phase of their learning journey. ANNUAL FEAST

IES Orion Kindergarten celebrated the Annual Feast on Friday, 28th March 2025. The day was filled with great enthusiasm, and the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. Children participated in a variety of fun-filled activities, including dancing to their favourite songs, which brought immense joy to everyone.
To enhance their hand-eye coordination and foster team spirit, children played the "Passing the Ball" game. Another highlight was the "Musical Chairs" game, which helped them learn how to adapt to changing situations and make quick, strategic decisions.
For social skill development and team building, children had a delightful time playing in the ball pool. The event ended on a happy note with every child receiving delicious savouries.
Children were actively involved in every aspect of the event. The Annual Feast at IES Orion was a heart-warming celebration of community and togetherness. It provided children with a joyful opportunity to learn cooperation and gratitude in a fun, engaging environment. The event stood as a testament to create a nurturing space for the children to grow and thrive.

WORKSHEETS/ART/CRAFT FOLDERS

Students brought their worksheets/art/craft folders in the fourth week of March 2025. Art and craft materials and worksheets were arranged month wise (June 2024 to March 2025) as per the Subjects - Math, Language, EVS, Art and Craft work. The cover page of the folders was decorated by students with the help of their parents. These folders inculcated a sense of discipline, orderliness and respect for work in the students. Three best entries from each class were declared and awarded prizes.

WATER PLAY

Children love water play. Water play helps children to develop their hand eye-hand coordination through various activities such as pouring, stirring and squeezing. Additionally, gross motor skills are also developed through activities such as splashing, kicking, wadding their limbs through the water. All the little learners of IES Orion Kindergarten from Nursery, Jr.KG and Sr.KG enjoyed the Water Play Activity from Monday, 17th March 2025 to Thursday, 20th March 2025. Jr.KG and Sr.KG Golden Sun students enjoyed the Water Play activity on Monday, 17th March 2025. Jr.KG and Sr.KG Silver Moon students enjoyed the Water Play activity on Tuesday, 18th March 2025. Jr.KG and Sr.KG Bright Star students enjoyed the Water Play activity on Wednesday, 19th March 2025. And Nursery Golden Sun and Silver Moon students enjoyed the Water Play activity on Thursday, 20th March 2025. All the students attired in their colourful swimming costumes, goggles, pool caps enjoyed their water play activity. Bubbling with excitement and enthusiasm, the students had great fun while jumping in the water, splashing water at their friends and playing with floating toys. Some of them even tried to swim in their own sweet way. It was a fun-n-frolic activity and the little ones enjoyed it to the fullest.

HOLI CELEBRATION

The most colourful and vibrant festival of India – Holi was celebrated with great pomp and fervour at IES Orion Kindergarten on Thursday, 13th March 2025. Holi is the festival which commemorates the victory of good over evil, brought about by the burning and destruction of the evil demon named Holika. So, the spirit of Holi taught the students to follow good conduct in life and believe in the virtue of being truthful and honest. The festival marks the end of winter and the abundance of the upcoming spring harvest season. The importance of the festival was explained by the teachers through a PowerPoint Presentation. Teachers explained the reason of celebrating the festival ‘Holi’, how it should be celebrated and why it is celebrated by narrating a story based on Holika Dahan. Animated videos on Holi and how to make natural colours at home were shown in all the classes. Students were advised to use natural colours and to conserve water. A project on Holi was displayed and explained to the students by the teachers. Our little Kindergarteners welcomed the spring by dancing on Holi Celebration Songs.

PARENT TEACHER INTERACTION

One to one parent-teacher interaction defines the learning process and positive communication between parents and teachers which helps improve academic performance of students. Hence, one to one parent-teacher interaction was conducted for Kindergarten Section on Saturday, 8th March 2025. It was conducted to discuss the observation of growth and development of students. Parents were informed about their child’s overall progress. Important guidelines were shared by the teachers for the holistic development of the students. Parents were very encouraging and supportive, and were extremely appreciative of the efforts taken by the Management, our Respected Principal Ma’am and the teachers. They acknowledged the sincere efforts taken by the teachers in providing continuous guidance for the students.
