OCEAN FRIENDS WEEK

To explore the beauty of the aquatic life, “Ocean Friends Week” was organised for IES Orion Sr.KG students from Monday, 25th November 2024 to Friday, 29th November 2024. The objective of organising this special week was to make the students aware of the most fascinating facts of aquatic animals and the importance of Oceans. Students were given an insight into different types of aquatic animals through art, craft, presentations, games, songs and stories. Along with fun activities, teachers also explained how Ocean pollution has become one of the major problems to our aquatic animals. Due to ocean pollution most of the species are getting extinct or endangered. Students made projects on Ocean Friends and also shared their valuable thoughts on different aquatic animals and how we can contribute towards saving aquatic life. Students enjoyed participating in the Fancy Dress where they came dressed up as a sea creature and spoke about it. “Each one of us can make a difference. Together we can make a change”. Let us all protect our ocean life.

FARM BUDDIES WEEK

To inculcate and make the students aware and understand from where does food come from, the farming process, how farm works, farmers, farm animals, their products which are utilized by human beings IES Orion Jr. KG section conducted Farm Buddies Week from Monday, 25th November 2024 to Friday, 29th November 2024. Teachers introduced each farm animal in detail for e.g.: cow, pig, hen, horse, goat, sheep etc. with their habitat, young ones, their sound or cries, their food, and their features, how they are useful to us in various ways through PowerPoint Presentations, flashcards and animated videos. Throughout the week students were taught various farm related songs like “Farmer in the dell...”, “Old Mac Donald had a farm...” which are student’s favourite numbers. Students enjoyed participating in the Fancy Dress where they came dressed up as a farm animal and spoke about it. A project on farm animals was set up by the teachers so that our students could observe and relate it very well with the topic. Students made a project on farm animals which were displayed in the class. To develop students’ language skills, they were given an opportunity to speak on the topic of farm animals. Thus, Jr. KG students learned about farm animals in a holistic manner.

Std. VIII visit to Sterling Nature Trails in Durshet, Khopoli

Students of Std VIII visited the Sterling Nature Trails in Durshet, Khopoli on 23rd November 2024. It was an adventurous and enriching trip. The students thoroughly enjoyed a range of exciting outdoor activities that not only enhanced their physical abilities but also provided valuable team-building experiences.
The activities included: Zip lining, Burma Bridge, Archery, Ladder Climbing, Net Climbing, Tyres Bridge, Vertical Log, Horizontal Net, Tracking.
This thrilling day allowed students to challenge themselves while enjoying the beauty of nature and developing important life skills such as teamwork, courage, and perseverance.

PAJAMA PARTY

IES Orion Kindergarten students celebrated Pajama Party on Friday, 22nd November 2024. The students of Nursery, Jr.KG and Sr.KG wore their favourite pajamas all day long. The main purpose of this day was to have fun, relax the mind and body, to give them a break from their daily routine and let them explore new things with their friends and teachers. Students got their favourite pillow, favourite toy and blankets to celebrate Pajama Party. The whole classroom was set up into cozy bedroom with soft beds lined up for the class and night glowing radium magic stars. Teacher played soft music, instrumental calming and soothing music to start with the day. Teachers helped students to relax, rest and made them comfortable. Teachers narrated inspiring stories and moral based stories to them. The most enjoyed activity was cuddling their friends and jumping on the soft bed. Teachers also set an alarm to wake the students up at specific intervals. This activity was fun, as the alarm went off everyone cried out and said “Good Morning” with a sweet smile on their face. Students were extremely excited, equally enthusiastic and happy to look forward for more such Pajama party’s in the future. Students were also given a small take away from the school as a token of love.

CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

On Thursday, 14th November 2024, we at IES Orion Kindergarten celebrated Children’s Day, a special event planned meticulously for complete entertainment and enjoyment of children. Students came dressed in colourful attire which was the dress code for the day.
To make the day more special, students of Nursery, Jr.KG and Sr.KG enjoyed watching a magic show in the Examination Hall. Our little Orionites were thrilled and had a fun-filled time watching the magic show. All Kindergartners received a box of savouries from the school as a token of love. It proved to be a memorable day for all the students.

CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATION

On 14th November, IES Orion celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm and joy. The day also marked the observance of "No Books Day," giving students a break from their regular academic schedule. A variety of fun-filled activities were organized, with each class enjoying games planned by their respective class teachers. The games promoted teamwork, creativity, and friendly competition, ensuring all students were actively engaged. A special highlight of the day was a magical performance, where a professional magician entertained the students with mind-boggling tricks. The magic show was a huge hit, leaving the students in awe and wonder. The Children's Day celebration at IES Orion was a memorable and enjoyable experience for all, making it a day full of fun, learning, and cherished moments.

STD V & VI EDUCATIONAL TOUR TO UDAIPUR
14/11/2024 - 17/11/2024
IES Orion organized a memorable four-day educational tour for Standard V & VI students to Udaipur, in collaboration with Mr. Kini from Patel Tours. A group of 22 students, accompanied by one teacher, embarked on the trip, beginning with an early morning flight to Ahmedabad. They then journeyed to Udaipur by bus, enjoying scenic views of Rajasthan.
The first day included a visit to Saheliyon Ki Bari and a celebratory Children's Day party.
On Day 2, the group explored Haldighati, the Maharana Pratap Museum, and witnessed a captivating puppet show.
Day 3 featured a tour of the City Palace and a fun-filled auto-rickshaw ride to Chittorgarh Fort.
The final day included a return journey to Ahmedabad, with a delightful meal before heading home. The students returned enriched with historical knowledge and unforgettable memories.
