PARENT–TEACHER INTERACTION

A one-to-one Parent–Teacher Interaction was conducted for the Kindergarten section on Saturday, 14th March 2026. The session aimed to strengthen communication between parents and teachers and to support the overall learning process of the students.
During the interaction, teachers shared detailed observations regarding each child’s growth and development. Parents were informed about their child’s academic progress, classroom behaviour, and overall performance. Teachers also provided important guidelines and suggestions to support the holistic development of the students at home.
The session proved to be meaningful and productive, as it encouraged open communication and mutual understanding. Parents appreciated the consistent efforts and dedication of the teachers in guiding and nurturing the students. The interaction played a significant role in building a strong partnership between parents and the school for the benefit of the children.

CONVOCATION CEREMONY

The Kindergarten Convocation Ceremony at IES Orion Kindergarten was a memorable and heart-warming event, celebrating a significant milestone in the academic journey of the Sr. KG students. The programme was held on Friday, 13th March 2026, at the Pracharya B. N. Vaidya Auditorium, marking the transition of young learners to formal schooling.
The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Anbuselvi Ashokkumar, a distinguished educator and Headmistress of Vile Parle Mahila Sangh English Primary School. The ceremony commenced with a graceful convocation march by the Sr.KG students, dressed in graduation attire, whose confident presence was warmly applauded by the audience.
The formal proceedings began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment. This was followed by a delightful welcome dance performed by the Jr.KG students. In her address, the Chief Guest appreciated the achievements of the students, offered valuable guidance to parents, and acknowledged the dedication of the teachers in nurturing the children’s holistic development.
The highlight of the ceremony was the distribution of Certificates, where each Sr.KG student proudly received their Certificate of Merit amidst loud applause. Representatives from each class expressed their gratitude towards the Management, teachers, parents, and peers through heartfelt speeches.
The graduates then took a solemn Graduation Oath, promising to uphold the values and lessons learned during their kindergarten years. The programme continued with a melodious song and an energetic mashup dance by the Jr.KG students, adding vibrancy to the celebration. A nostalgic audio-visual presentation titled “Golden Memories of the Kindergarten Section” beautifully captured special moments from the year.
The Convocation Ceremony concluded on an emotional and joyous note, leaving parents and teachers filled with pride as they witnessed the children step confidently into the next phase of their education. The school extended its best wishes to all the young graduates for a bright and successful future.

ANNUAL FEAST

IES Orion Kindergarten celebrated its Annual Feast on Thursday, 12th March 2026, with great enthusiasm and excitement. The premise was filled with joy as children eagerly took part in a range of fun-filled activities. Dancing to their favourite songs added to the lively spirit of the celebration.
To promote coordination and teamwork, students participated in games like “Passing the Ball,” which helped enhance their hand-eye coordination and encouraged team spirit. The “Parachute Play” activity was another major attraction, bringing smiles and laughter all around.
Children also enjoyed playing in the ball pool, which supported the development of social skills and group interaction. The celebration concluded on a cheerful note, with every child relishing delicious savouries.
The event witnessed active participation from all students and reflected a strong sense of togetherness. The Annual Feast proved to be a joyful learning experience, fostering cooperation, sharing, and gratitude among the children while reinforcing the school’s commitment to providing a nurturing and engaging environment.

WORKSHEETS / ART / CRAFT FOLDERS

During the third week of March 2026, students brought their worksheets, art, and craft folders to school. The contents were systematically compiled and arranged month-wise, covering the period from June 2025 to March 2026, under subjects such as Math, Language, EVS, and Art & Craft.
With guidance from their parents, students beautifully designed and decorated the cover pages of their folders, adding a personal and creative touch. This activity encouraged neatness, organization, and a sense of responsibility towards their work.
The effort and presentation of the students were appreciated, and the three best folders from each class were recognized and awarded prizes.

HOLI CELEBRATION

The colourful and joyful festival of Holi was celebrated with great enthusiasm at IES Orion Kindergarten on Monday, 2nd March 2026. Holi symbolizes the victory of good over evil and is associated with the story of Holika, whose defeat represents the triumph of truth and righteousness. Through this festival, students were encouraged to understand the importance of honesty, goodness, and positive values in life. Holi also marks the end of winter and welcomes the vibrant spring season and the new harvest.
Teachers explained the significance of the festival through an engaging PowerPoint presentation. They narrated the story of Holika Dahan, helping students understand why and how Holi is celebrated. Animated videos about the festival and simple ways to prepare natural colours at home were also shown in the classrooms. Students were encouraged to celebrate Holi responsibly by using natural colours and conserving water.
A special Holi-themed project was displayed and explained by the teachers, which added to the students’ understanding of the festival. The celebration concluded with our little Kindergarteners joyfully dancing to cheerful Holi songs, warmly welcoming the spirit of spring.
