GRANDPARENTS’ DAY CELEBRATION

Grandparents are the heart of every family, embodying wisdom, love, and cherished traditions that bind generations together. Their unwavering affection, guidance, and blessings create a strong foundation for family values and relationships. To celebrate and honour their invaluable contribution, IES Orion Kindergarten organized a delightful Grandparents’ Day Celebration on Saturday, 29th November 2025, at the Pracharya B. N. Vaidya Auditorium.
The occasion commenced with a warm and gracious welcome extended to all the grandparents by the teachers, who ensured their comfort throughout the event. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, invoking positivity and auspiciousness. Thereafter, our respected Principal Madam addressed the gathering, extending her heartfelt greetings and expressing sincere appreciation for the pivotal role grandparents play in nurturing and shaping young lives.
A vibrant array of cultural performances was presented by the students and teachers to make the day truly memorable. The enthusiasm and excitement of the children were evident as they showcased their affection and gratitude through their performances. The students of Sr.KG opened the celebration with a graceful Welcome Dance, setting a joyful tone for the event. This was followed by an entertaining "Retro to Metro" dance performance featuring evergreen Hindi film melodies and a captivating Television Serial Fashion Show presented by the Jr.KG students.
Adding to the festive spirit, a series of engaging games, including Guess the Tag Line, Guess the Song Tune, and Spot Prizes, were organized for the grandparents. Their enthusiastic participation and cheerful involvement infused the celebration with energy and excitement. The Sr.KG students further touched everyone's hearts with a melodious song dedicated to "Dada, Dadi, Nana, Nani," beautifully expressing the love and admiration children hold for their grandparents.
A particularly heart warming moment was when the Sr.KG students, on behalf of all their peers, conveyed their gratitude and affection to the grandparents through a heartfelt message. The winners of the Grandparents’ Talent Contest, which featured a Wall Hanging Making Competition, were also announced and felicitated with gifts and prizes, bringing immense joy to the recipients.
The highlight of the celebration was the lively Medley Dance performed by the grandparents themselves. Their spirited and enthusiastic participation transformed the auditorium into a vibrant space filled with laughter, applause, and happiness. Witnessing the grandparents take centre stage with such zeal was truly inspiring and added a special charm to the event.
The celebration concluded on a joyous note, leaving everyone with treasured memories and smiles. It served as a beautiful reminder of the profound bond shared between grandparents and grandchildren and reinforced the values of love, respect, and gratitude. The event was a resounding success, and all the grandparents thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this heart warming celebration.

PAJAMA PARTY

IES Orion Kindergarten joyfully celebrated Pajama Party Day on 26th November 2025. Children from Nursery, Jr. KG and Sr. KG arrived in their favourite pajamas, ready for a fun and relaxing day. The aim of the celebration was to provide students with a break from their regular routine and allow them to enjoy a comfortable, cozy experience with their friends and teachers.
Students brought along their favourite pillows, toys and blankets, adding to the excitement. Classrooms were transformed into warm, bedroom-like spaces with soft beds. The day began with gentle, calming instrumental music that helped students settle in.
Teachers ensured the children felt relaxed and comfortable by guiding them through rest time and sharing meaningful and inspiring stories. One of the highlights was the joy of cuddling with friends and jumping on the soft beds, which filled the room with laughter.
This playful routine became one of the most memorable moments of the day.
The celebration ended with students receiving a small takeaway gift as a token of love. The Pajama Party left the children thrilled, happy, and eager for more such delightful experiences in the future.

Sr. KG OCEAN FRIENDS WEEK

To celebrate the wonders of underwater life, IES Orion Sr.KG observed “Ocean Friends Week” from Monday, 17th November 2025 to Friday, 21st November 2025. The week was planned to help students discover amazing facts about aquatic animals and understand the significance of our oceans. Through a blend of art, craft, presentations, games, songs, and stories, children explored a wide variety of sea creatures.
Teachers also created awareness about ocean pollution, explaining how it threatens marine animals and pushes many species toward endangerment or extinction.
Students enthusiastically prepared Ocean Friends projects and expressed their ideas on different marine animals and ways to protect them. A major highlight was the Fancy Dress event, where children dressed as sea creatures and confidently spoke about their chosen character.
The message of the week was clear: “Each one of us can make a difference. Together we can make a change.”
Let us all join hands to safeguard our precious ocean life.

Jr. KG FARM BUDDIES WEEK

To help children understand where food comes from and to introduce them to the world of farms, IES Orion Jr. KG observed Farm Buddies Week from Monday, 17th November 2025 to Friday, 21st November 2025.
Teachers familiarised students with farm animals such as cows, hens, goats, pigs, horses and sheep using presentations, flashcards and animated videos. Children learned about each animal’s habitat, young ones, sounds, food habits and how they support human life.
The Fancy Dress event added excitement as students came dressed as their favourite farm animals and spoke confidently about them. Students prepared their own farm animal projects, which were proudly showcased in the classroom, giving children a chance to explore and relate to the theme more closely.
Overall, Farm Buddies Week provided Jr. KG students with a simple, engaging and meaningful understanding of farm life and its importance.

GRANDPARENTS’ TALENT CONTEST

To relive cherished memories and bring out the hidden talents of our elders, IES Orion Kindergarten organized the Grandparents’ Talent Contest on Saturday, 15th November 2025. Our enthusiastic grandparents participated in large numbers for the Wall Hanging Making Contest, showcasing remarkable skills, creativity, and imagination.
They crafted beautiful wall hangings using crochet work, best-out-of-waste materials, and unique handmade designs, turning simple items into stunning pieces of art. Watching their creativity unfold was truly inspiring and heart-warming.
The overwhelming participation and enthusiasm of the grandparents made the event deeply motivational for all of us. As a gesture of appreciation, each grandparent was given a token of love from the school.
It was indeed a memorable, enriching, and joy-filled morning that celebrated talent, togetherness, and the special bond between grandparents and children.

CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

On Friday, 14th November 2025, IES Orion Kindergarten celebrated Children’s Day with joy, enthusiasm, and lots of special moments planned just for the children. Students came dressed in bright and colourful attire, filling the school with a cheerful and festive vibe.
To make the day delightful, each class enjoyed a movie in their respective classrooms. Nursery students watched Hanuman, Jr.KG students enjoyed Finding Dory, and Sr.KG students were excited to watch Mufasa. The little Orionites were captivated and thoroughly enjoyed their movie time.
One of the most loved highlights of the day was the Selfie Corner, beautifully decorated where children clicked fun and happy pictures with their friends, capturing memories of the day.
After the movie sessions, the classrooms were filled with energy as children danced to their favourite songs, celebrating with laughter and joy. As a token of love, each kindergartner received a box of savouries and a special gift from the school.
The celebration created meaningful and joyful memories, making Children’s Day truly unforgettable for every student.
