Sr. KG KIDS DAY OUT TO BACCHA PARTY

The much awaited Kids Day Out to Baccha Party, Matunga was organised for the Sr. KG students on Wednesday, 24^th December 2025. The children eagerly anticipated this special outing as it offered them an opportunity to bond with their classmates and create joyful memories together.

Brimming with excitement and enthusiasm, the students set off for the venue. Thoughtful arrangements were made to ensure the children’s comfort, including snacks on the bus, breakfast at the venue, lunch, and refreshments.

After a hearty breakfast, the children enthusiastically explored the play zone. They thoroughly enjoyed various attractions such as slides, trampolines, ball pools, and several other fun-filled activities. Laughter and excitement filled the air as the students actively participated in each activity.

Following an energetic morning of play, the children proceeded for lunch. The inviting aroma of the delicious spread enhanced their appetite, and they happily savoured a variety of delectable multi-cuisine dishes.

The day concluded on a cheerful note, with happy faces and unforgettable memories. The students returned safely to school carrying with them the joy, excitement, and cherished experiences of the outing. Overall, the Kids Day Out proved to be a delightful and enriching experience that strengthened friendships and created treasured moments that the children will fondly remember for years to come.

NURSERY KIDS DAY OUT TO FUNKY MONKEY

The most awaited day of the year was the Kids Day Out to Funky Monkey, Lower Parel organised on Monday, 22^nd December 2025. Students eagerly look forward to the Kids Day Out as it gives them an opportunity to spend joyful moments with their classmates.

The Kids Day Out was arranged for the Nursery students, and the children were extremely excited as they set off for the destination. Comfortable arrangements were made for the students by providing snacks on the bus, breakfast at the venue, lunch, and refreshments.

After enjoying breakfast, the students headed to the play zone where they had great fun on slides, in the ball pool, on trampolines, and while participating in various other activities. A special surprise awaited the children when Santa Claus made a cheerful appearance, danced with them, and distributed miniature keychains. After a tiring yet fun-filled morning, everyone proceeded for lunch. The dining hall, filled with the aroma of delicious food, heightened the children’s appetite, and they happily relished a variety of multi-cuisine dishes.

The Kids Day Out concluded with happy smiles and unforgettable memories. The students returned safely to school, cherishing the joyful experiences of the day. Overall, the Kids Day Out proved to be a refreshing and enriching experience that strengthened bonds of friendship and created moments the children will treasure for a long time.

ANNUAL CONCERT

IES Orion Kindergarten celebrated its most awaited event, the Annual Concert 2025–26, on Saturday, 20^th December 2025 for the Nursery, Jr. KG, and Sr. KG classes. The theme of the event was “Sant Vani – Voices of the Saints.” The programme was graced by the presence of the Chief Guests: Smt. Seema Deshpande for Nursery, Smt. Gopika Gopakumar for Jr. KG and Shri. Shrikanth Krishna Das Prabhuji the esteemed guest for Sr. KG. The celebration spread joy and provided a wonderful platform for students to showcase their talents and build confidence. A glimpse of the behind-the-scenes preparations was showcased on screen before the programme began, adding excitement to the event.

The programme commenced with a prayer and a welcome song, followed by the welcoming of the Chief Guests and the lamp-lighting ceremony. The students displayed their talents through a variety of performances including acting, dancing, and singing. The Nursery and Jr. KG students enthralled the audience with energetic dance performances and a marvellous Fashion Show. The Sr. KG students presented a meaningful drama titled “Sant Vani,” conveying powerful messages of values and wisdom.

The Grand Finale, performed by the little Orionites along with the teaching and non-teaching staff, mesmerised the audience. The event concluded with a vote of thanks followed by the National Song. Overall, the Annual Concert was a perfect blend of joy, learning, and entertainment, leaving lasting memories for students and the audience alike.

ANIMAL SAFARI WEEK

Animal Safari Week was celebrated for the students of IES Orion Kindergarten from Monday, 15^th December 2025 to Friday, 19^th December 2025.

During this week, our kindergarteners learned about wild animals through engaging rhymes, stories, educational videos, interactive sessions, and informative PowerPoint presentations. Various creative and hands-on activities were also conducted to enhance the children’s learning experience. The importance of kindness towards animals, along with lessons on love, care, and the prevention of cruelty towards animals, was sensitively explained by the respective class teachers of Nursery, Jr. KG, and Sr. KG.

On Thursday, 18^th December 2025, the kindergarten students were given an opportunity to share their knowledge about wild animals. They spoke confidently on various topics related to wildlife, showcasing their understanding and growing confidence.

FIELD TRIP TO VEERMATA JIJABAI BHOSALE UDYAN

IES Orion Kindergarten students are regularly engaged in enriching activities and educational field trips to promote experiential learning. As part of Animal Safari Week, the Jr. KG students visited Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan, popularly known as Byculla Zoo.

The children were thrilled to see a wide variety of wild animals such as the tiger, hyena, cheetah, deer, elephant, nilgai, hippopotamus, and monkeys, all housed in well-maintained enclosures. Teachers provided simple and informative explanations about each animal, helping the students learn more about their habits and features.

A special highlight of the visit was the walk-through aviary for aquatic birds, where students walked along a wooden bridge and observed the colourful birds up close. The Penguin Enclosure at Rani Baug and the Crocodile Trail added to the excitement of the trip. The children were fascinated to see the seven Humboldt penguins living in specially designed, temperature-controlled chambers that recreated their natural environment.

The field trip offered the students a wonderful opportunity to closely observe animals and understand their habitats. Our little Orionites were deeply engaged and curious throughout the visit, making it a truly enjoyable and memorable learning experience.

DR. BABASAHEB AMBEDKAR PUNYATITHI

Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar was a great leader, social reformer, educationist, and the Father of the Indian Constitution. He was honoured with the Bharat Ratna in 1990 for his remarkable contribution to Indian society. The year 2025 marked the 70^th Mahaparinirvan Divas of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. On this occasion, IES Orion Kindergarten paid heartfelt tribute to the great leader on Friday, 5^th December 2025. Teachers shared an informative PowerPoint presentation highlighting his life and work. Our little Orionites also expressed their thoughts by sharing a few sentences on Dr. Ambedkar. Babasaheb dreamt of an India where everyone is treated with equality and respect.
